"It's very exciting to be recognized by my collegues and peers.
The evening
was very special because all six of the nominations for the Olympics
won as
well. The dinner afterwards was great fun because we all were seated
together and, needless to say, the mood was very up!"
The Opening Ceremonies won for Outstanding Direction, Choreography,
Lighting, Costumes, Art Direction, Sound Mixing as well as Music
Direction.
This made it the top award winner at this year's EMMY Awards!

MARK
WATTERS CONDUCTS FOR OSCAR!
Mark recently served as co-conductor along with John
Williams at the "74th Annual Academy Awards."
The event, held on March 24, 2002, marked the Oscar's return to
Hollywood.
"I was indeed honored to be asked by John Williams to share
conducting duties. Although challenging, it was very exciting. It's
true, the orchestra hears the winners at the same time the audience
does so you have only a second or two to zero in on the appropriate
music tag and start it. John was wonderful to work with and the
65-piece orchestra was tremendous."
