Mark Watters premieres new work at The Warren Center gala, "The Art Of Music" in Dallas, TX
Mark was commissioned to compose an original work to be premiered at a very special fund raiser for the Warren Center in Dallas, Texas. The Warren Center works with children with developmental differences or disabilities and their families. The theme of the event was “The Art of Music.” Composers and musicians were teamed with visual artists to collaborate with each other to create both a musical work and a work of visual art. Mark was teamed with award winning fashion designer, Lucy Dang.

Mark adapted material from his recent score to the documentary, “Running It Out.” “Running It Out was the story of a man who lived his entire life with developmental handicaps so it seemed appropriate to adapt a part of this score for a fundraising event supporting a center that deals with the very same people. Lucy listened to my piece and others from my website and designed a dress was modeled while the piano trio performed. All of the artists and musicians were amazing! It was a great honor to be asked to participate.”
